Kidisms

Kidisms: AKA funny things kids say. So Michael informed me that we need to make Santa some cookies so that he can come and visit us again. It was so cute. He went to the pantry and pulled out oil, brown sugar, cooking spray, and a plate and was mumbling to himself, "Cookies, make, Santa, come, okay, nice". I tried to explain that Santa only comes once a year and we can make cookies for dad or for someone else. He looked at me and said, "No, come play cars room." So I guess it is cookies for Santa or for no one. I love the funny things kids think of.

Boys will be Boys

You have to love the trouble little boys get into. That's why you have to have a sence of humor as a parent. And one thing I've learned is that if it is quiet...you know something is wrong! While at Sheryl's house, our children were quietly playing upstairs when we realized it was way too quiet and found out that they had decorated Sheryl's kitchen, hallway, laundry room, and living room with artwork. That's right...the boys found Sheryl's dry erase markers and colored everywhere. After a good laugh and some picture taking we were able to clean all the beautiful colors off of her walls, kitchen table, couches, tile, bumbo, stools, and glass doors. A week later, while Jer and I were cleaning up after dinner, we turned around to see that Michael had found our toothpaste and had squeezed out the entire tube onto our living room floor, walls, and himself. Once again, we had a good laugh, took some pictures, and cleaned up the mess. Now our house smells nice and minty fresh. Can I just saythat while being a mom is a messy job, it is the best job in the entire world. Thanks for the laughs.
