Vacation Time

It's time for a vacation.  Jeremy and I love to get away as a family and try to escape from reality and spend some quality time together.  For our family vacation this year, we headed up to Bear Lake for a week.  We spent the first three days with just our family and then my parents and siblings joined us for the last 4 days.  We even celebrated Michael and Poppops birthday. It was so much fun.  We spent our days playing in the pool, playing at the park, hiking, playing at the lake, and just spending time together.  After all, the family that plays together, stays together!

Lake Time with just us - the boys loved floating in the raft and feeding the seagulls

The awesome city park with a giant swing

My attempt at taking some fall pictures of the kids

The whole gang at the lake.  Michael was so proud of his sand castle and Bryce was in his happy place

The pool...the boys are so close to swimming!

Michael

My little boy isn't so little anymore!  Michael just turned 6!  How time flies.  He had a superhero birthday, complete with a spiderman pinata.  We just had a nice family party and just spent time together.  He loved his batman game and superman jammies.  I just love this little boy with all his energy, his darling smile, and sweet spirit.  I love that he is continually turning into different superheros and protecting us.  I love how his face becomes animated when he talks to me and that everything is new and exciting.  I love that he still wants to snuggle me when he goes to bed.  I feel so blessed to have this charming boy in my family.  Happy Birthday Michael!  We love you!

Temple

We were able to walk through the Brigham City Temple open house with my family this past weekend.  It is such a beautiful temple and will be a blessing to the people of Brigham City.  It was crowded and warm and took about 2 1/2 hours, but it was worth it.  And all the kids were so good and Juliet slept most of the time.  This was her first big outing and she did great.  What a beautiful place and I'm so glad I was able to spend time with my family!

Kindergarten

The time has come.  My baby started Kindergarten!  How can he be that old!  I am so excited for him to learn and have new experiences.  And at the same time I'm a little sad that he is not home with me and I lose my protective shield over him.  I love this kid so much.  It's amazing how your heart is so tied up in your kids.  I cried the night before...when no one could see.  And Michael cried when I dropped him off.  But he was happy when I picked him up and said that he sat by his friends and liked his teacher.  This is a new stage for us and I'm excited for this new adventure.
