Duck Pond, Carnival, Kite Festival

 The fun never stops here.  We've been busy the last couple weeks.  We took the kids to the duck pond to feed the ducks and while Bryce was throwing bread to the ducks, he slipped and fell into the pond.  It was shallow enough he could touch and Jeremy jumped in after him, but it was quite the spectacle.  It actually made me laugh, but poor Bryce was terrified.  Lesson learned...don't get too close to the edge!  We also went to the kids new school carnival for carnival games and snow cones.  We even won swim passes for the family.  And we were able to go the Kite festival.  Michael earned a shark kite for reading every night for 4 months and we bought Bryce and Juliet a small kite of their own.  The kids had a good time bouncing on the bounce houses, flying their kites, and eating snow cones.  And luckily it was windy enough to fly our kites while we were there!

Plain White T's

 Jeremy and I were able to sneak away for a night and go out to dinner at Smashburger and go see the Plain White T's in concert at the Sunbowl.  They put on a great show and we had a fun time.  Our favorite songs of the night were Rhythm of Love and Take Me Away.  Hopefully there will be more concerts in our future!

Toquerville Falls

 We found a gorgeous spot to play in the water on a hot day this past weekend.  We headed up to Toquerville Falls with our friends, the Crafts, for some 4-wheeling, hiking, playing in the water, and a campfire with hotdogs and marshmallows.  We had a blast.  This is by far one of our favorite activites! 

Red Cliffs Reserve

 We spend a lot of time in the mountains hiking.  There are so many cool hikes and 4 different National or State Parks to go to within 45 minutes.  One of our favorite places to go is the Red Cliffs Reserve.  We hiked to see the Dinosaur tracks and then the Red Cliffs Nature trail.  It is so beautiful.  I love the green trees against the red rocks.  And our kids are turning into quite the adventurers!

HIdden Pinyon

 My kids love to hike.  My good friend Lindsey and I took the kids up Snow Canyon to Hidden Pinyon trail.  It was a beautiful hike and the kids had a great time climbing over all the rocks and exploring.  We had lunch on top of a vista and then hiked back down.  I am always amazed at the kids vast amount of energy...they never run out of it!  I wish I could harness some of the energy for me. 

Easter

 We love Easter!  Our kiddos looked so darling in their Easter outfits.  I just can't believe how fast they have grown!  We celebrated Easter by having an easter egg hunt and breakfast with our ward and of course we decorated eggs and the Easter bunny came and visited and brought presents and candy.  And we even had an Easter bunny cake.  And while we love the fun celebration, I am most grateful for the real reason we celebrate Easter....the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  I am so grateful for his sacrifice for me and for everyone I love. 

Soccer

 Our boys love soccer!  Both Bryce and Michael were able to play and they had a great time this spring.  Bryce even scored a game winning goal at a shootout at the end of one of his games.  They both are improving and want to play again this fall.  It is so cute to watch all the kids chase after the ball.  Bryce was on team Lions and Michael was on the Fire team.
