Moving

Jeremy and I bought a house!  After selling our house up north the past April, we bought a new home in Hurricane this past November.  It is a cute 2000 sq foot, 4 bed, 3 bath home on the edge of Hurricane.  We had actually tried to purchase two other houses and a lot previous to this and everything had fallen through and then this house popped up and every thing worked out for us to buy it.  We love our neighbors and the kids have loved playing with all the neighborhood kids!

Skiing in Cedar

Jeremy and I decided that we needed to teach our kiddos the basics of skiing, so we took them up to Cedar City, rented skiis for them, and took them to a sledding hill to practice.  At first they were pretty intimidated, but by the end, they could actually ski down the hill and were having a great time.  Juliet of course was tired of being in the cold after five minutes and spent the rest of the time in the car, waiting to go home.  Maybe next year she will be more excited about snow.  Next winter, we want to take them up and have them ski at Brianhead.

Hiking in January

Yep...it is so awesome in St. George that we get to go hiking in January!  We love to hike as a family and took a little trail that looked down into the virgin river.  The boys love to explore and Hailey loves to be outside. Usually after church on Sundays, we hop in the car and take a drive or go on a short walk or hike as a family.  I hope this is something we always enjoy as a family!

Michael's Choir Concert

Michael put on his first choir concert at Dixie Montissori at the end of December.  He did a great job and it even brought tears to my eyes as I watched him sing out the words with all his heart.  Michael loves choir and has been blessed with a beautiful singing voice and a natural ability to follow music and stay on pitch.  I love to hear him sing.  He actually sings a lot of the day.  We call it his soundtrack to life and I just love listening to it.  I know that someday I will miss his little voice singing around the house all day.

New Years Eve 2015

Another year gone and a new one on the horizon!  Time flies!  We celebrated New Year's Eve by playing games, eating pizza, drinking sparkling cider, and just having a great time being together.  My mom was even able to be here with us.  Happy New Years!!!

Christmas

We love Christmas!  I love the excitement my kids have on Christmas Eve and morning.  Oh...the joys of being young.  We had a wonderful Christmas eve, where we watched our videos on the birth and life of Christ and opened one present to each other.  The kids even went right to sleep, so Santa would not pass them by.  They loved Christmas.  We woke up early and opened presents, ate a yummy breakfast (cinnamon rolls, eggs, sausages, fruit), and then packed up and headed to Jers mom's house.  We actually hit a really bad snow storm and had to take a detour to Cedar City and eat lunch and went sledding for a couple hours until it cleared up, and then we finally made it to Logan.  We had a lot of fun visiting with Jer's family for a few days before heading back home.  The kids love seeing their cousins and playing in the snow!

Christmas Traditions

I love Christmas time!  Everyone is just a little kinder, more generous, and loving.  I also love that we get to focus on Christ and families!  Some of our favorite traditions are; acting out the nativity (the boys and Jer played shepherds at our ward Christmas party), drinking hot chocolate while we go look at Christmas lights (we especially like the lights at the Phineas and Ferb house), walking around and looking at the lights and the Christus at the Temple, and making Christmas cookies and doing secret santa.
