Triathlon

We Came, We Saw, We Conquered!  Jeremy and I just finished our first olympic triathlon!  Swim 1500 meters, bike 20.5 miles, run 6.2 miles!  It's amazing what you can accomplish with hard work.  I remember watching triathlon competitors and thinking "wow...how do they do that," and then I realized that I could do that with some hard work and training.  It was difficult, but I am so glad that I did it and that my amazing husband competed with me as well.  I actually finished faster than I thought I would and finished the race in 2:58!  And came in 29th place overall in the female division.  There is something satisfying about achieving something you once thought was impossible.  I am so grateful for my amazing husband and kids who inspire me daily, my fabulous training buddy Lindsey Crafts, and my awesome parents who came down to support us and watched our kids.  I feel very blessed to have a strong healthy body!

California trip

Time for a fun family vacation.  We decided to take the kids to California for a fun beach vacation.  We spent two days at Sea World and the kids loved it.  They were fascinated by the dolphins and whales and loved going to the shows and riding the rides.  We were also able to spend one day at Coronado beach and then go bike riding to Balboa park.  Two other amazing places.  I love the gold sand on the beach.  Something about the sound and feel of the sun and waves just makes me happy!  We were also able to make a stop and see my Papa and Grandma Alice.  It was great to spend some time with them and we had a wonderful vacation.  I don't want to go back home to normal life!  Can't we just stay here and play a few more weeks!

Sunsets and Lakes

I love sunsets!  We took the boys fishing at a pond by our house and it was so beautiful when the sun set.  Every time I see a sunset it reminds me that our Heavenly Father loves us and that this world is beautiful.

The next week we went out to Kolob reservoir with our friends, the Crafts, and played in the lake and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.  The kids have a great time playing and I'm so glad I met them and we became friends.

School Times

My baby started 2nd grade today!  How can he be that old!  I'm so excited for him to learn and grow and have experiences.  My heart also aches a little, knowing that he is going to face some challenges and that he is nervous since this is a new school for him.  Michael is such a sweet heart and I will miss him and how he makes me laugh and smile everyday.  Summer can't come soon enough!

More Summer Fun

We love to be in the water and you have to if you live in St. George.  Sand Hollow lake is a lot of fun and the kids love to go there.  We have a great time floating on our rafts and making sand castles.  It's the closest thing we have to a beach!

We also found a little river that the kids like to walk through and splash each other.  It's muddy...but what's the fun if you don't get a little dirty!

Mamas visit

We made a quick trip to Utah so that I could work a shift at the instacare.  Yeah...I only have to work once every 3 months...awesome!  We stayed a night with my parents, made a quick trip to visit Mama in Brigham city and stopped by to say hi to Sheryl.  It was a fast trip, but we had a good time.  I feel very blessed that I am able to stay home with my munchkins and that we are surrounded by such wonderful family!

Jeremy turns 35

Jeremy turned 35!  Wow!  And he requested a tractor birthday and that's just what he got!  We celebrated by taking him out to eat at Red Robin and then came home for cake and presents.  How grateful we are for such an amazing man in our lives.  He works hard to provide for our family and is a wonderful dad.  The kids favorite part of the day is wrestle mania with their dad and Juliet loves to coax treats out of him and snuggle with him on the couch.  We love you Babe!  Happy Birthday!
