Staheli Farms

We had a great time visiting Staheli farms with our friends, the Crafts.  The kids loved the corn maze, swinging ropes and slides, the bounce pad, picking out a pumpkin, and hay ride. 

Baptism

 It's great to be 8!  Michael was baptized on October 11th in Syracuse with his cousin Chase.  It was a great day and Michael was so excited.  I can't believe that he is already so big and I am so proud of him and of the decision he made to be baptized.  Jeremy performed the baptism with Michael Young and Michael Fortune as witnesses.  He was then confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  After the baptism we were able to have a lunch with all of our family.

Summer Fun

Here are some pictures of some of our late summer adventures.  We went hiking in Zions canyon, 4-wheeling near our house, and the boys started karate.  The hike in Zions was beautiful and the boys love running around finding and throwing sticks.  Jeremy was also brave and took all three kids 4-wheeling while I was at scout camp.  And the boys are now in tang soo du and love it.  Bryce is convinced he is going to be a ninja when he grows up!

Young Family Trip

 I love to vacation!!!  We were just able to go on a family trip to Afton, Utah.  It is close to Brian Head in Cedar City.  It was beautiful and we stayed in a perfect cabin in the mountains.  We had a great time going on 4-wheeling trails and hiking in Zions National Park.  It started pouring on us right before we hiked, but luckily the weather cleared up enough for us to make a quick hike up to Emerald lower pools.We also had fun going to Navajo lake and throwing rocks in the water, playing at the park, celebrating Jeremys, PopPops, and Michaels birthdays, and staying up past midnight everynight playing games and laughing.  I feel very blessed to have the family I do!

Juliet's EKG

 While at Juliet's 2 year old check-up the pediatrician found a heart murmur.  After listening to her for a few minutes, he decided to an EKG on her, to rule out any abnormalities.  She was amazing and was so quiet and still.  Thankgoodness it came back normal and she was just diagnosed with a Stills heart murmur.  The doctor said it was innocent and nothing needed to be done.  So, we got a clean bill of health.  Let's hope it stays that way!

Triathlon

 We Came, We Saw, We Conquered!  Jeremy and I just finished our first olympic triathlon!  Swim 1500 meters, bike 20.5 miles, run 6.2 miles!  It's amazing what you can accomplish with hard work.  I remember watching triathlon competitors and thinking "wow...how do they do that," and then I realized that I could do that with some hard work and training.  It was difficult, but I am so glad that I did it and that my amazing husband competed with me as well.  I actually finished faster than I thought I would and finished the race in 2:58!  And came in 29th place overall in the female division.  There is something satisfying about achieving something you once thought was impossible.  I am so grateful for my amazing husband and kids who inspire me daily, my fabulous training buddy Lindsey Crafts, and my awesome parents who came down to support us and watched our kids.  I feel very blessed to have a strong healthy body!

 

California trip

 Time for a fun family vacation.  We decided to take the kids to California for a fun beach vacation.  We spent two days at Sea World and the kids loved it.  They were fascinated by the dolphins and whales and loved going to the shows and riding the rides.  We were also able to spend one day at Coronado beach and then go bike riding to Balboa park.  Two other amazing places.  I love the gold sand on the beach.  Something about the sound and feel of the sun and waves just makes me happy!  We were also able to make a stop and see my Papa and Grandma Alice.  It was great to spend some time with them and we had a wonderful vacation.  I don't want to go back home to normal life!  Can't we just stay here and play a few more weeks!
