More Summer Fun

We love to be in the water and you have to if you live in St. George.  Sand Hollow lake is a lot of fun and the kids love to go there.  We have a great time floating on our rafts and making sand castles.  It's the closest thing we have to a beach!

We also found a little river that the kids like to walk through and splash each other.  It's muddy...but what's the fun if you don't get a little dirty!

Mamas visit

We made a quick trip to Utah so that I could work a shift at the instacare.  Yeah...I only have to work once every 3 months...awesome!  We stayed a night with my parents, made a quick trip to visit Mama in Brigham city and stopped by to say hi to Sheryl.  It was a fast trip, but we had a good time.  I feel very blessed that I am able to stay home with my munchkins and that we are surrounded by such wonderful family!

Jeremy turns 35

Jeremy turned 35!  Wow!  And he requested a tractor birthday and that's just what he got!  We celebrated by taking him out to eat at Red Robin and then came home for cake and presents.  How grateful we are for such an amazing man in our lives.  He works hard to provide for our family and is a wonderful dad.  The kids favorite part of the day is wrestle mania with their dad and Juliet loves to coax treats out of him and snuggle with him on the couch.  We love you Babe!  Happy Birthday!

July 24th fun

To celebrate July 24th we took the kids to a parade in the morning, which they love because they get candy.  Then we headed over to the theater to watch a movie, and spent the rest of the evening barbequing some good food and just spending time together.  How I love my family!

The next weekend we made a trip to Pine Valley where we hiked the river walk and roasted some hot dogs and marshmallows. The kids had a great time exploring and hitting things with their sticks.  We even took our fishing poles and the kids tried catching some fish in the lake.  Can you tell that we love to be outside!

Kanerville Canyon

Jeremy and I found this awesome hike that led us through some narrow canyon walls.  It was beautiful and we loved walking in the cool water.  The kids had a blast and never wanted to stop exploring.  Jeremy was a trooper and hiked with Juliet on his bike the entire hike.  It was beautiful and reminded us of how amazing this world is!

Half Marathon

Well, I did it!  I finished my first half marathon and actually ran it faster than I thought I could.  While up in northern Utah, I signed up for the Farmington Half Marathon.  It was a great experience and I felt good while running the race.  I finished the race in 1:53....which is around 8:44 a mile.  My family was awesome and came to watch me run and support me.  And my amazing dad woke up at 4:30am with me and actually drove me to where my race was.  He was there when I started the race and cheered me on the entire race.  He would drive out and wait for me every few miles and would cheer me on when I would run by.  What a great dad!  It gave me motivation to keep going because I knew he was waiting for me.  After I finished the race my family took me out to IHOP for some yummy breakfast.  I have such an awesome family.  I was proud of myself for finishing the race.  It was always something I had wanted to accomplish and I wanted to teach my kids that they could do hard things.  I wanted to show them that you can accomplish your goals with hard work.  My next goal is to now train for an olympic triathlon...so we'll see how that goes.

Bryce Turns 5

Bryce Man turned 5 on July 21st!  What a blessing he is to our family.  He is our brave ninja who is full of kindness and fun.  For his birthday we went swimming, then to the Fiesta Fun Center for some arcade games, pizza, and bumper boats.  The boys thought squirting dad with water was awesome!  Afterwards, we went home for some cake and presents.  He loved his spiderman punching bag and new shirts.  Bryce is the sweetest child you will ever meet.  He lights up my day and is brilliant.  Already swimming, riding his bike, and reading.  He is always up for adventure and helps all of us.  How I love my Bryce!!!
