Little Ella

Little Ella Lynn Thackeray was born June 8th, 2009. 6 lbs 7 oz, 19 inches long. After a crazy delivery (you'll have to have Nick tell you the story) and some blood work scares, baby and mom are doing well and are now at home. And Sheryl did not have any medications...that's right...she had natural childbirth. Sheryl, you are my hero! Thanks to everyone for your prayers and thoughts. Congrats, guys! She's beautiful!

Run Jeremy Run

So, Jer did the impossible again and ran another triathalon. Yep, he's amazing. This past Saturday he ran, biked, swam, and conquered. Here's some pics of his journey. We are so proud of you baby! He's going to race in another triathalon this October...who's going to join him?

This and That

I have been a horrible blogger but am going to try to be better, so I am going to steal an idea from my friend Peggy (thanks, Peggy) and catch you up to speed.
THIS
Is Michael's first sleepover with cousins Tanner and Chase. They had a great time eating popcorn and watching Shrek. I'm so glad Michael lives close to his cousins.
THAT
Is Celine Dion in concert. My mother-in-law was not able to attend the concert, so I was able to go in her place and see the concert with my sister-in-laws. Thanks Laura. It was a ton of fun and I decided it is time to see more concerts. Anyone know of any good ones coming up?

THIS
Is a photo of the pregos. My sister and 2 sister-in-laws are all pregnant. Yea for babies!

THAT
Is a picture of my little man sitting in his own seat, with his own table, with his own juice and cookies, watching TV, while airlining his way down to Vegas to see his nana and papa. When did he grow up?

THIS
Is a picture of what our yard looked like when we got home from Vegas. Brrrr...when is winter over! At least Michael had a good time playing in the snow.

THAT
Is Jer's family and Michael and I going to the Draper Temple open house. It was so beautiful and Michael was so reverent. If you haven't been, you should go walk through it.

THIS
Is Michael's favorite way to eat his food now days. Forget the utensils. Isn't eating with your hands and making a mess more fun! Oh, to be a kid again.

Thank Heaven for Little

BOYS! Well, Jer and I were both wrong and we are going to be having another boy. Yea! We are really excited. We were hoping for a little boy so that Michael could have a buddy (although I think we would have been just as happy with a girl). I keep trying to tell Michael that I am having a baby and that he is going to have another brother, but I don't think it is sinking in, because now he points to his belly and says baby. I think I'm confusing the poor kid. I hope they will be best friends. Yea for babies!

Pickles and Ice Cream

Only a tasty combination when one is pregnant. That's right...my ego is prego! The baby is due on July 26th and it cannot come soon enough. It is hard work growing another person inside of you. Jer thinks this baby will be a girl. I think it might be a girl as well, only due to the fact that I crave sour things and can't stop throwing up. Oh yeah, and the Chinese calander says I'm having a girl, and that's never wrong. What do you think?

Verdicts in

Michael loves the snow. Whewww. Living back in the tundra, I was hoping Michael would be a fan of the blistering cold and snow....and he is. He loves it. He never wants to come in and will sit outside and eat snow until his mouth freezes. Good thing he takes after his daddy. You can tell I haven't dressed a baby for the snow in quite a while because he looks like the little boy on Christmas Story that can't put his arms down. Poor kid will probably die of heat stroke instead of freezing to death!

Of course, we haven't bought any sleds yet, so this is how we sled at the Fortunes.

I want to be a kid

The joys of youth! Watching my little kiddo run around and cause mischief makes me want to be young again. Life is so simple. Here are a few reasons this past week why it is great to be a kid...

You could care less what your hair looks like

It is completely acceptable to eat cake with your hands and rub it all over yourself if you want to

Your favorite toy is a stick and it can entertain you for hours

You can fall asleep anytime, anywhere and it is always acceptable

Vacuuming outside makes just as much sence as vacuuming inside
