Welcome Home Elder Young

Yay! After two years, my brother Michael returned home after serving his mission in Seattle, Washington. He was the best missionary ever and we are so proud of him and are happy to have him back. It has been fun to watch him grow from a 19 year old boy to a 21 year old man. We love you so much! Thanks for being a great example to all of us!

Beautiful Boys...or should I say Handsome Boys

Time is flying by and Bryce is already a month old. He weighs 9 lbs 9 oz and is 22 inches long. He is the best baby ever. A little piece of heaven in our home. Michael is the best older brother and is so concerned whenever Bryce cries. Even at night, he'll get out of bed and go find Bryce if he hears him crying. How did I get so lucky to have these precious little ones! I am posting some new pics and a hilarious video of Michael dancing.

Already one cool dude

Old Man Alert

Well the day finally came where Jeremy can no longer say he is in his 20's! That's right...he just turned 30! And informed me that he is now allowed to have a midlife crisis. Actually 30 is the new 20. He was spoiled as usual on his birthday and even got a 4 wheeler which he goes riding on daily. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and father. Happy Birthday Baby...We love you!

2 weeks old

Baby Bryce is two weeks old! Time is flying...although it could be because I am living in a sleep deprived state. He is such a good baby. He hardly ever fusses, which I hope he keeps up. Michael has been so good with him. He gets so concerned anytime Bryce fusses and runs over to him and says "okay" and then pats his head or kisses him. It's so darn cute. I hope they'll be best of friends. Michael does love Bryce's binky and will steal it if we are not watching and if we are taking too many pictures of the baby, Michael runs over and does something funny until we snatch a picture of him....hence the picture at the bottom with Michael in the basket. I love being the mom of these two boys!

Baby Bryce

He finally made it! Baby Bryce Terry Fortune - named after one of his grandpas - made his big appearance on Tuesday, July 21st at 12:30pm, after a 6 hour labor. He barely fit and had to be vacuumed out, but we both survived and the doctor said "no more babies over 7 and 1/2 pounds. He was 7 lbs 9 ounces and 20 inches long. He has blondish-brown hair and blue eyes and looks just like his older brother. He is so dang cute! We feel very blessed to have two beautiful healthy boys.

Hiking

Who says you can't hike at 39 weeks. So, this baby is so stubborn and does not want to drop. I've been having contractions since 36 weeks, but the doctor says that the contractions aren't doing much good, because the baby is still too high. All this pain for no reason....I am going to have one tough uterus! I guess he's just happy in his home environment. So, Jer and I decided to take Michael hiking to Battlecreek Falls this weekend...somewhere close to the hospital of course. And he finally dropped and then when we got in the car to go home...he went nuts until he pulled himself back up into my ribs, into his happy place. He's already stubborn! So, I'll be getting induced this Tuesday. I'll post pics after we return home.

Tour De Donuts

Don't be fooled by the name....this is an official bike race. Last Saturday, Jer joined the other fierce racers and finished one of the craziest bike races there are. The race is 21 miles, but every 7 miles the racers stop and have to eat as many donuts as they can before continuing on their race. For every donut you eat, you get three minutes off your time. Unfortunately Jer hadn't practiced his donut eating skills and only scarfed three down, but he made excellent time on his bike. The winner of the race actually ate 25 donuts and had a negative race time. Good job Jer! So, what did you do for fun this weekend?
