Halloween

Is anyone else shocked that Halloween has come and gone. Time moves too fast! We had a great halloween this year. Michael thought this was the best night ever and can't understand why he can't go get more candy from the neighbors. He tells me that he'll say "trick or treat". Funny kid. We started out the month with a halloween carnival that Jeremy's mom and step-dad threw for the grandkids, then we were able to go see Jeremy's dad and step-mom and see Kaleb's costume (my camera was dead...no pics). Finally my family came over for halloween weekend and we had a party. We took the kids to our trunk or treat and then hit the neighborhood after that. Needless to say...we are all on candy overload at our house. I love the holidays.

The dynamic duo....Batman and Robin!

Our crazy halloween picture. Who has the best costume?

Michael won our costume contest....dressing as Jacob from the Twilight series

The kids loved the goodie bags, going fishing, and decorating cookies

Michael's Four

Okay...I'm officially getting old now. How can my baby be four already. Michael turned four on September 28th. We already had a big party with all the family, so we just had a small party for him with just the four of us. He wanted a Mikey mouse party, since we just went to Disneyland, and so we decorated everything with Mikey. I even made him a Mickey mouse cake. It is so fun to watch him open up his presents. He gets so excited and made us set up his train track right when he opened it. Michael is such a sweet kid and I'm so glad he's in my family. I love you so much Michael.

Grandpa

Anthony Young Jr., my grandpa, passed away September 25th. He was a wonderful man and grandpa and will be missed. I have so many wonderful memories of him and I am so grateful that I was a part of his family. A wonderful service was held for him on October 1st. While I will miss my grandpa, I am glad that he no longer has to suffer. That he has been able to pass on and is now with family and friends on the other side. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have, that I know that this life is just a stepping stone. That I will once again be able to see my grandpa and that my family can be together forever. I love you grandpa!

Grandpa and California

A couple weeks ago our family was able to take a trip down to California and go see my grandpa. My grandpa found out that he had lung cancer and his health was declining, so we all headed to California to go and see him. Luckily we had been planning a trip to California and everyone already had the time off of work...coincidence...I think not. We tried to fit in some fun activities while we were in California and entertain the kiddos when we were not in the hospital. We had a lot of fun taking the kids to Disneyland and Legoland. Michael loved it and has been talking about going on rides and seeing Bob the Builder everyday since. The best part was that we were all able to see my grandpa. We were all able to talk with him and tell him how much we love him and appreciate him and say goodbye to him. He passed away as we were headed back home. I am so grateful that I was able to see him and spend some time with him. I love you Grandpa!

Spending time with Grandpa. We love you.

The little boys loved Legoland. My brother even found his future lego wife and kid.

Disneyland really is one of the happiest places on Earth. We had so much fun showing everything to the boys.

A quick trip to the beach. The boys loved digging in the sand.

The Stud and the Preschooler

Once again, my manly husband showed off his skills and competed in the Bear Lake Brawl Triathlon. He did awesome and beat his time goal by 2 minutes! He swam 700 meters in the freezing lake, biked 12 miles, and ran 3.1 miles. Jer's parents came and cheered him on and then we all went four wheeling and hiking in the mountains. Thanks for coming to support him! Michael also started his first week of preschool. He was so excited. He goes for two hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When I went to pick him up he came running towards me and gave me a huge hug and said "mom...I'm so happy to see you. I'm sad, I miss you. I'm happy now." I love my little guy....can he really be old enough to go to preschool. I might have a heart attack when he goes to kindergarten.

One Party To Rule Them All

We decide to have a one party to rule them all birthday bash this year for all the boys birthdays. Jeremy turned 31, Michael turned 4, and Bryce turned 1!!! We had a great time, even with the crazy wind, and I let Michael help me pick out all the decorations. He chose a soccer theme and thought it was great that every one came down to celebrate with him. He loves his cousins! We played some fun games...pin the soccer player on the goalie, water balloon toss, pass the balloons, and the adults even got to have their own water balloon fight. At the end we busted open a pinata. Thanks so much to every one that came and thank you for the awesome presents!!

A quick shot before the festivities begin

All the boys were spoiled

One, two, three...make a wish

Are you impressed with my cake decorating skills.

Game time with all the cousins!

Itty Bitty Ball and Fun

Wow...hasn't this summer just flown by! I just can't seem to keep up with my blogging. We have had a great summer and I thought I better post some of our activities. Michael just finished Itty Bitty Soccer. He was on team France and had a great coach and had a lot of fun most of the time. He liked all the activities, except when everyone would get together and play a big game of soccer. Then he wanted to come sit next to me and watch the action. We also went up the canyon for some campfire fun with Todd and Ashley and the next week we went to the Balloon Festival with Nick and Sheryl. And last but not least, we went to see the helicopters with my brother. I love all the fun activities of summer!

Isn't he handsome? He loved kicking the ball into the goal and playing the hula hoop game.

Jeremy made us yummy tin foil dinners. Michael and Chase loved watching the fire and roasting smores.

So, it was so windy that night, they were only able to fill up a couple hot air balloons, but Michael and Tanner had tons of fun dancing to the music and laughing.

Jer and I wanted to take a helicopter ride, but since the weather was so humid, they could only take someone who was under 50 lbs. Maybe next year!
