Is anyone else shocked and amazed that it feels like winter already. What happened to fall. It went straight from summer to winter in like a week. Because I am not ready to admit that winter is on its way...I wanted to post some fun summer activities we did that I never got around to blogging. First....the kids love the sun almost as much as me and we spent a lot of time outside, playing in the sprinklers and sliding down the slip-n-slide.
I'm also posting a picture of Jer's campout with the boys. They slept on our deck under the stars. Well, I guess I should say almost slept outside...both boys fell asleep outside, then Jer and I decided to carry them inside and put them in their own beds, so we could fall asleep in our own bed. But we did enjoy a nice evening outside looking at the stars.
We also had a fun night going to see the Days of 47 Parade Floats in SLC. The kids were amazed at the floats and wanted to climb all over them. I must say I was pretty impressed as well!
Another fun activity we have been doing this summer is hiking. We have been on some beautiful hikes up American Fork Canyon. The last hike we went on was the Tibble Fork loop, which claimed to be a family friendly hike that was 3 miles long. Don't be fooled though, it was not family friendly....we talked my family into hiking this trail with us and it was straight up hill and straight down hill and ended up being 5.8 miles and we had to cross the river in a couple spots. Luckily Michael is a trooper and hiked most of the way, but Bryce had to be carried. It was an adventure! And it was beautiful! I love the outdoors. For some reason, I am just happier outside.
